Today the Carnegie EMS begins their operation as a department of the Town of Carnegie. The employees of the Ambulance Service will join the other qualified and committed employees of the Town, and the entire public safety team. The Town acquired the service from the Carnegie Hospital. This transition project has taken several months to complete, as the Town wanted to ensure the safety and health of our citizens we serve. Your access to quality emergency medical care will remain the same as before. If you need an ambulance, continue calling the Carnegie Police at 580-654-1444 for any medical emergency. You can find out more about the service at their page on this site.
The Town of Carnegie wishes everyone a happy new year, and we look forward to serving our community and citizens in the coming months of 2013. The Town Board will meet tomorrow evening at 7 PM in the Fine Arts Building at the Carnegie Park. You can read the agenda for the meeting here: January 10, 2013 Agenda

The Carnegie Fair will start on Thursday evening in the Upper Park, and preparations have been underway for several weeks. However, because of recent events, there is a new urgency for volunteers to help on the Sunday work day on the 23rd. The fair board is asking all people interested in helping in any way to be at the Upper Park tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 23) at 2 PM so that a plan can be made to make sure this year’s event is a success. We believe in the power of our community spirit to make this event happen.
The Fair Board is keeping the Williams family in our thoughts and prayers. Even as we are moving forward with our event as planned, they are foremost in our hearts and minds.
