Carnegie Emergency Medical Services

The Town of Carnegie operates a regional EMS/Ambulance service for the residents of the Town of Carnegie and the surrounding area. The Town contracts to provide services throughout the Mountain View-Gotebo EMS District, as well as the Town of Eakly. Tyler Walters, EMT-Paramedic, is the director of the EMS Department.

The service area of our EMS department covers over 990 square miles of territory in Caddo, Washita, Comanche and Kiowa counties in southwest Oklahoma. We cover the towns and communities of Carnegie, Fort Cobb, Mountain View, Gotebo, Eakly, Albert (Oney), Alfalfa, Swan Lake, Crow’s Roost, Fly-Inn, Cowden, Cloud Chief, Cooperton, Lake Valley, Alden, Sedan, Hatchetville and Green Valley. Our service area also  includes Fort Cobb Lake State Park and Lake Vanderwork near Gotebo.

The department is fully licensed with the State of Oklahoma Department of Health, and has professional, licensed Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics who are on-call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

The service has four ambulances that are based in our Carnegie facility, which adjoins the Fire Department. The EMS office is located at 1 West Main Street in Carnegie, OK.

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911, dispatch is provided by the Caddo County 911 Comm Center in Anadarko, OK.

How do I pay my bill?

  • The EMS department now does all billing and collection services in-house. You can visit with our billing department in-person at 1 West Main Street, Carnegie, OK. You can also call 580-654-5221. To mail payment, mail it to the following address:

Where are the offices for the EMS department?

  • The Carnegie EMS office is located at 1 West Main Street, which is the Northwest corner of Hwy 52 and Main Street. The EMS staff is usually available during normal business hours on weekdays at this location. Please note that the staff may not be at their office all of the time, as they may be on an emergency call or attending to other matters from time to time.
