SERIOUSLY FOLKS some yards around town could use a little tending. lets see if we can remedy that by getting the tall grass and weeds chopped down.
Some properties could legally be considered a health hazard to others, (attraction to vermin, snakes or skunks, etc) or some/all of its structures are in such disrepair to the point of being a safety danger. (unsecured abandoned properties, broken windows, doors, dilapidated fencing, decks, stairs, etc)
YOUR CAR SHOULD BE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY NOT THE YARD, IF ITS NOT RUNNING OR IS UP ON BLOCKS MOVE IT BEHIND A PRIVACY FENCE.
THE TOWN DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROPERTY, BUT IF THE PROBLEM PERSIST WE WILL BE LEFT WITH NO ALTERNATIVE AND WILL DO SO BEGRUDGINGLY AT THE PROPERTY OWNERS EXPENSE.

Carnegie’s Public Pool is officially open for summer fun beginning Friday, May 28th weather permitting at 1pm.
The Carnegie Pool is open every day during the summer months, generally until the second week of August. The pool features a slide and diving board as well as a concession area. It is fully staffed with certified lifeguards for your safety.
- Monday thru Friday: 1:00 – 5:45
- Saturday thru Sunday: 1:00 – 4:45
- General Admission: $2.50 per person
- Summer Passes: $50.00 per person
DON’T KNOW HOW TO SWIM? SWIMMING LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE.

Emergency services is asking all residents to be sure to check their house numbers to make sure that they are visible from the street. This is for your protection in the event of an emergency.
Your house numbers should be:
NUMBERS SHOULD BE IN NUMERICAL FORM
NO LESS THAN 3″ IN HEIGHT
IN A CONTRASTING COLOR OF THE STRUCTURE WHERE PLACED
CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM THE STREET (clear obstacles obstructing any view of numbers from the street)
Residents have 10 days to comply with this before citations and $15.00 fines are given. (Each month this is not done can and will be treated as a new offense.)

SUMMER VACATION IS SET TO START ON THURSDAY, MAY 20 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WILL BE DISMISSING THE STUDENTS AT 12:30PM.
EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT SUMMER BREAK, HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE.
CELEBRATING THE 4TH OF JULY WITH A FIREWORKS DISPLAY THIS YEAR IS HOSTED BY THE CARNEGIE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND WILL BE HELD SOUTH OF TOWN.
LANCE WILLIAMS, WHO WILL BE SETTING OFF THE DISPLAY SAYS THAT WE SHOULD HAVE NO SHORTAGE OF FIREWORKS.
